Looking to give an added value over their competitors, this producers decided to innovate by starting a Micro Mill with high quality coffee that would allow them to find a different market to build long-term relationships. An excellent coffee and a subsequent high price is synonymous with excellent agronomy.  Higher prices are allowing the farmer to reinvest into better farming practices, better soil analysis, better inputs to ensure strong growth, strategic farming (moving trees farther apart to avoid mold and ensure better sunlight).
